It seems that Athens has many ruins, more than the common Athenian knows. Many are found underground, in the basement of some building; others hidden behind fences while others are lost in industrial areas.
What they have in common all these ruins is that they are rather small or in poor condition of conservation.
Rare is the case that a huge structure like a wall is unknown and preserved in excellent condition.
