The road that connects Athens and the Piraeus port has been very important through history.
Piraeus was one of the 2 historical ports of Athens, and it is, today, the most important port of Greece.
Around this road there were houses, temples, businesses and even cemeteries.Piraeus was, not only, an important source of income, through the collection of taxes, but also of food, something key to resist any siege.
That is why, at various times in history it was decided to build very long walls to protect this road.
In this video, we explore the few and hidden remains of the long walls of Athens.
We not only show the long walls, but temples, tombs, channels and for that we had to visit shopping centers (like Leroy Merlin), car dealerships, vehicular control centers, parks, abandoned lands.
